You've hiked all day, stopped off at the Schafberg Hüsli, your legs are tired and you don't necessarily want to take the cable car down into the valley? Then the mountain cart is just the thing! Almost like a go-kart - only on 3 wheels and without a motor - you ride from the mountain station along the forest paths down into the valley. Safe driving fun is guaranteed!

General information
The mountain carts are issued and reserved at the mountain station of the 8EUB Schafbergbahn, as well as at the start of the 6 km long route. Our PME sports store staff will briefly familiarize you with the "rules of the game" and the mountain cart at the Schafberg Hüsli. They will also provide you with the appropriate safety equipment. Then it's off you go.
The route runs along the forest path down to the valley station. Would you like to know how fast you can actually go on the mountain cart? - No problem, the speed check installed along the route will tell you. Once you reach the bottom, it's time tosmile! The photos for your vacation or family album are available in the PME sports store.
Notes
- Bookings are always possible on the respective day from 7:00 am
- Also suitable for children
- Children under 140 cm tall can only ride with an adult
- Children aged 10 years and over and 140 cm tall can ride a mountain cart on their own, but only in the presence of an adult or legal guardian
- If an adult and a child ride a mountain cart together, we recommend choosing a larger cart when booking
- From June 13: Departure every hour between 11:00 and 16:00, on site (Sportshop PME or at the mountain station) orONLINE bookable
- In the summer vacations(05.07. to 07.09.2025) departure every hour between 10:00 and 16:00, on site (Sportshop PME or at the mountain station) orONLINE bookable.
- Mountain carts are only issued on the hour until 16:00 at the latest (check-in: 10 minutes before departure at the issuing station on the mountain)
- Recommendation: Book tickets ONLINE in the morning
- NEW: Book an additional actioncam for your ride downhill and receive your personal video. (Bookable directly on site at the ticket office). Price 12,00 €
